VARSITY                JV

Coach Sara Higgins joined the Tesoro Varsity Softball coaching staff as an Assistant in the 2021-2022 season and will be returning for her third season. Higgins played for elite travel organizations until 18u as well was a two-time CIFSS Division 2 champion and a CIFSS Division 3 finalist. Coach Higgins has 8 years of coaching experience with competitive and successful teams through recreational, travel, and high school levels. Higgins has head coached previously for the Batbusters organization and currently for the So Cal Athletics organization. Additionally, she serves as a private catching instructor. Further, she recently received a Master of Education in Coaching and Sports Administration. Coach Sara Higgins became Tesoro’s Varsity Softball Head Coach in 2023. In addition to coaching, Sara Higgins also teaches social studies at Tesoro. 

Highlights for Coach Higgins:
2023, Varsity Softball made it to CIFSS Division 2 semi-finals
2023, Varsity Softball took 2nd place in the South Coast League
2022, Varsity Softball captured 1st place in the Sea View league
2022, Varsity Softball took 2nd in CIFSS Division 3 Finals
2022, Varsity Softball made it to the semi-finals of the CIF Regional State Tournament.
