Courtney Tebbe - Head Coach

Tebbe joined the Tesoro staff in 2017 as a mathematics teacher and began coaching as an assistant track and field coach in the spring of 2018. Became the Head Girls’ Cross Country & Track and Field Coach in the fall of 2018. In her first season of coaching, she led the team to a 13th place finish at CIF Finals, a year after the team failed to advance out of league finals. In 2019, she led the team to a 5th place performance at CIF Finals and qualified the team for the state meet for the first time in 7 years. The team went on to place 7th overall at the state meet, with the top individual placing earning All-State recognition for her top 10 finish. Tebbe was awarded a “Coach of Character” by the Orange County Athletic Directors Association in the fall of 2019. In the spring of 2021, she led the team to a Sea View League Championship title, the first league title since 2014.The team has continued to qualify for CIF Finals each year under Tebbe’s leadership (2018, 2019, no CIF due to COVID-19 pandemic, 2021, 2022) and place within the top 16 teams in Southern-Section consistently.

Courtney is married to Alex Tebbe, who also coaches cross country and track & field at Cal State Fullerton University.

Competed as a Division 1 student-athlete at UC Irvine on the cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field teams at UC Irvine from 2012 – 2017.

Grew up in Clovis, CA and was a 12-letter varsity athlete in cross country, soccer, and track & field.
