Rick Brail will be entering his first season as Tesoro’s Flag Football coach. Rick graduated from San Clemente H.S. He received his BA in Political Science from UC Davis. Rick played football, basketball, and baseball in high school and baseball in college before a 23 year baseball coaching career. He was Tesoro’s first baseball coach, won 3 league titles, and has been inducted into the Tesoro Athletic Hall of Fame. Rick is the current 2022/23 school year Tesoro HS Teacher of the Year and is entering his 27 year as a Social Science teacher. His most memorable coaching moment was leading the 2004 Varsity team to the CIF Finals. Rick’s motto is “Be Positive, Energetic, and Compassionate .” Rick and his wife Deonna  have been married for 26 years and live locally in San Clemente. They have 3 kids; Riley (24), Trenton (22) and Jordan (20). Rick’s hobbies include Pickleball, Fishing, and anything outdoors.
